Travis Kelce says Taylor Swift makes him try new cuisines but he won’t eat anything resembling baby food
KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI: In the latest 'New Heights' podcast episode, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce shared how his relationship with pop star Taylor Swift is shaping his food preferences. Although he's eager to experiment with new cuisines, he admitted there are boundaries, particularly with dishes that remind him of baby food.
Travis' elder brother, Jason Kelce, has expressed appreciation for the positive changes in his dietary habits. The NFL star admitted that although he is still particular about his diet, he has become more receptive to experimenting with new foods.
Travis Kelce credits Taylor Swift for broadening his food choices
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end discussed his positive transformation on the 'New Heights' podcast, crediting his girlfriend Taylor Swift for introducing him to new culinary experiences.
“My girl Tay is getting you opened up. She’s introducing new foods to you. One of the greatest things that I’m happy about,” Jason said.
Travis revealed that Swift, 34, introduced him to an "Israeli spot in Philadelphia," which he enjoyed visiting, US Magazine reported.
“It was awesome. I like that spot a lot,” he responded. “I’m still picky when it comes to, like, what I’ll eat on it or eat on the table. But at the same time, it’s like, I’m down to dance.”
Jason, perplexed, asked about the suggestion from Swift for Travis to try curry. “I'm in on, like, a light curry. The more it gets thicker and it looks like, like a baby food, or like baby s**t, then I'm out,” Travis said. “So, you just have a mental block with foods that look like poop?” asked Jason.
“That looks like it just came out of a bu**h**e. Yes, I do have a mental block for that,” Travis responded. “You know I’m starting to open up to the Indian cuisine,” he added.
The latest 'New Heights' episode was filmed after Travis and the Kansas City Chiefs' won against the New Orleans Saints, moving to 5-0 and being the only undefeated team besides the Minnesota Vikings.
Taylor Swift cheered Travis Kelce during his game against Saints
Travis Kelce's remarks about his girlfriend's hand in broadening his culinary horizons followed the pop icon's presence at the Kansas City Chiefs' victory over the New Orleans Saints on Monday, October 7.
The Chiefs secured a 26-13 victory against the Saints at Arrowhead Stadium, Missouri, achieving their fifth straight win of the current NFL season, according to PEOPLE.
After the game, in a VIP suite, Swift was caught up by Chariah Gordon, the fiancee of Chiefs' wide receiver Mecole Hardman Jr, who asked her, “How do you feel after this win?"
However, the 'Fortnight' singer responded in jest, “No, it’s important that you answer the question this time.” “I feel that we feel really good after this win, we’re five in all,” Gordon, 29, said, to which Swift added, “Going into a bye week.”
“Going into a bye week, it is perfect,” Gordon added.
