WASHINGTON, DC: Donald Trump was blasted online after he expressed his surprise that Kamala Harris, a woman, is doing better than President Joe Biden in the 2024 presidential election race

The former president shared his views during his appearance on Fox News talk show ‘Gutfeld!’ on Wednesday, September 18. Trump stated that "somehow a woman [Harris] is doing better than” Biden, The Daily Beast reported.

Trump stated, “Joe Biden was pretty much gone,” before adding, “They [Democrats] said, ‘Joe, it’s over, you’re getting out’... and they were very nasty… He got out.”

“And they put her in,” the 78-year-old politician said while referring to Kamala Harris. “And she somehow—a woman—somehow she’s doing better than he did.”

The Vice President was officially nominated as the Democratic presidential candidate after Biden backed out from the race in July following his embarrassing performance in a June debate against Trump.

Joe Biden withdrew from 2024 race for ‘best interest of the country'

While withdrawing from the 2024 presidential race, Biden said, “It has been the greatest honor of my life to serve as your President. And while it has been my intention to seek reelection, I believe it is in the best interest of my party and the country for me to stand down and focus solely on fulfilling my duties as President for the remainder of my term.”

“I want to thank Vice President Kamala Harris for being an extraordinary partner in all this work. And let me express my heartfelt appreciation to the American people for the faith and trust you have placed in me,” he added.

“I believe today what I always have: that there is nothing America can't do - when we do it together. We just have to remember we are the United States of America,” Biden added.

Internet slams Donald Trump and says ‘women will decide this election’

Meanwhile, people online called out Donald Trump for his "misogynistic" remark.

A user on X tweeted, “Wow! Trump is shocked that ‘somehow’ a woman is doing ‘better’ and he ‘can’t imagine it can last’. Translation: ‘Sit down and know your place.’ But here’s the deal: we’re showing up strong in November, and Kamala Harris is about to win in a landslide—women are leading this movement!”

Another wrote, “I’m so looking forward to watching Trump get beat by a woman of color!!!”

“Misogynistic Trump is shocked ‘a woman’ (Kamala Harris) is doing better than Joe Biden,” one person stated.

Another noted, “Trump's misogyny quote about Harris: ‘And she is somehow - a woman - somehow she's doing better than he did.’ Women do tend to be better leaders than men, but no one sent Trump those statistics. This sexist, racist, demented old man can go to hell.”

One individual sarcastically wrote, “He’s having a really difficult time coping.”

Another added, “Typical kind of disrespectful response you would expect from a misogynist. The entire Republican party has underestimated Kamala Harris from the start, but they are finding out NOW, aren’t they? Also, he REALLY misses Joe Biden, doesn’t he?!”

“He thinks women are below him. Women will decide this election and send him to the prison of their choice,” an individual noted.

Another one shared, “Translation from MAGA into SMART: ‘She’s better than I am, she’s going to win, and I’m terrified of going to jail.’”

A tweet read, “MAGA Republicans finally get the answer to the question they keep asking liberals... What is a woman? A woman is Kamala Harris.”

The second tweet was “It must really mess with his ego to be bested by a woman, poor thing.”
