JOINT BASE ANDREWS, MARYLAND: Donald Trump had another headline-grabbing moment on the tarmac Friday, April 11 — and this time, it involved an umbrella and some very bad timing.

While boarding Air Force One at Joint Base Andrews in rainy weather, the president was seen struggling to fit a large black umbrella through the aircraft door, reports Irishstar.

Trump fumbles with umbrella again as he boards Air Force One in the rain

President Trump was gearing up for a weekend getaway to his Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach. As Trump got ready to jet off for a sunny weekend in Florida, he faced blustery winds and a steady downpour on the runway.

Clutching a large black umbrella, he made his way up the steps to the plane but when it came time to board, Trump didn’t fold the umbrella down. Instead, he tried to tug it through the narrow doorway unsuccessfully. After a few seconds of fumbling, he gave in and handed it off to a nearby staff, leaving the moment to speak for itself.

The incident, caught on camera and instantly shared across social media, gave critics and commentators plenty of ammunition.

This isn’t the first time Trump’s had a clumsy moment with an umbrella. Back in 2018, he found himself in nearly the same situation —trying to bring one through the plane’s tight doorway. When it didn’t fit, he simply left it behind.

One user wrote, “Still hasn't mastered the umbrella?” while another quipped, “Seems like umbrella issues arise.”

Critics were quick to pounce. “The U.S President doesn’t know how to drive a car. He can’t even fold an ordinary umbrella to save his miserable life. I’m just going to leave running the country out of this for now,” one person jabbed.

“History repeats itself,” one user said, as many recalled similar umbrella incidents from years prior.

“He’s so dumb and cringe,” one user posted bluntly, while another added, “I might sit this one out. Your boy can’t even make it up the f**king stairs!”
