“All caring mothers understand this rare feeling, nothing against fathers,” she said with a warm smile, then glanced playfully at Trump and added with a chuckle, “But in my opinion, and I'm sure everyone in this room agrees, only a mother can grasp this particular point.”

The first lady also recognized the sacrifices made by military mothers and urged them to care for their well-being. “For your strength is the bedrock of a brighter future for our children. By caring for ourselves, we empower the next generation to thrive together,” she said.

The event was one of two public appearances for Melania that day, with her next engagement focused on unveiling a postage stamp honoring former First Lady Barbara Bush.

Trump prepares for an overseas trip to the Middle East next week without Melania.
