PENDLETON, SOUTH CAROLINA: President Donald Trump has shared another personal detail about his marriage to Melania Trump, revealing that the first lady hates his dancing. He also joked that she is “impossible to live with” while recalling her concerns about his health after a previous speech.

Trump made the remarks at a rally on Wednesday, October 21, as speculation about the couple’s relationship continues.

Donald Trump reveals Melania Trump hates his dancing

Speaking at the South Carolina rally in support of Senator Lindsey Graham ahead of the midterm elections, Trump discussed his wife’s reaction to one of his previous speeches.

Trump recalled that Melania was worried after watching him move around the stage, where he appeared to walk into a wall and wander. While he believed the speech had gone well, Melania apparently had a different view.

“She said, ‘What happened to you? Are you OK? They had you walking around the stage, hitting the wall,’” Trump recalled.

He added that Melania told him to “never do that again.”

Trump also revealed that dancing is one thing his wife particularly dislikes about him. He then joked that Melania is “impossible to live with,” offering a glimpse into their personal dynamic in front of the rally crowd.

His comments came just days after the couple presented a united front in public, adding another moment to the ongoing conversation about their marriage.

Melania and Donald Trump face renewed marriage speculation

Trump’s remarks have drawn attention amid claims from several outlets and political commentators that the couple spend little time together.

In September 2026, political commentator David Pakman alleged that the pair were “completely estranged” and “mostly living separately.”

“They have separate bedrooms, when they're even in the same building,” Pakman claimed.

These statements have added to speculation about the couple’s relationship, but they remain claims made by outside commentators rather than confirmation from either Trump or Melania.

Relationship expert Gemma Logan weighs in on Melania Trump’s marriage

Relationship expert Gemma Logan also discussed the couple’s relationship with The Irish Star, suggesting that the apparent friction could indicate that they are “not in a healthy place.”

Logan pointed to communication as an important part of a long-term relationship, explaining that couples who barely speak may be experiencing difficulties.

“Communication is the heartbeat of any long-term relationship,” she said.

She also warned that limited conversation can leave partners living separate lives even when they remain together.

“When conversation becomes minimal, couples can start living parallel lives rather than a shared one,” Logan continued. “At that point, the question isn't simply whether they spend time together, but whether they still feel emotionally connected when they do.”
