Trump blasts political rivals as Giuliani remains hospitalized
President Trump took to 'Truth Social' on Sunday to confirm the news.
"Our fabulous Rudy Giuliani, a True Warrior, and the Best Mayor in the History of New York City, BY FAR, has been hospitalized, and is in critical condition," Trump wrote.
He immediately shifted the focus toward the various legal battles Giuliani has navigated since the 2020 election, suggesting that the pressure from his critics played a role in his current state.
"What a tragedy that he was treated so badly by the Radical Left Lunatics, Democrats ALL — AND HE WAS RIGHT ABOUT EVERYTHING! They cheated on the Elections, fabricated hundreds of stories, did anything possible to destroy our Nation, and now, look at Rudy. So sad!" Trump added.

Giuliani's spokesperson calls for prayers amid health crisis
The announcement was initially sparked by a statement from Giuliani’s spokesperson, Ted Goodman, who posted a message on X regarding the former mayor’s status.
“Mayor Rudy Giuliani is currently in the hospital, where he remains in critical but stable condition. Mayor Giuliani is a fighter who has faced every challenge in his life with unwavering strength, and he’s fighting with that same level of strength as we speak,” Goodman wrote.
While the spokesperson confirmed the severity of the situation, he remained quiet regarding the specific hospital or the underlying ailment.
“We do ask that you join us in prayer for America’s Mayor Rudy Giuliani,” Goodman added.
Giuliani's legal turmoil and professional sanctions post-2020
Giuliani’s hospitalization comes after a period of intense legal scrutiny stemming from his role as Trump’s personal lawyer and his efforts to challenge the 2020 election results.
These activities led to his disbarment in both New York and Washington, DC.
He had faced charges in Georgia and Arizona after the elections, and was also identified as an unindicted co-conspirator in the federal election interference case led by special counsel Jack Smith.
Despite these mounting pressures and the loss of his legal credentials, Giuliani consistently maintained his innocence and denied all allegations of wrongdoing, and in 2025, he was granted “a full, complete, and unconditional pardon” by the Trump administration, which was informed by Pardon attorney Ed Martin.
