WASHINGTON, DC: President Donald Trump gave an exasperated look after a reporter accidentally hit him on the face with a large fluffy gray microphone during his interaction with journalists at the JBA on Friday, March 14.

In the clip shared by BNO News, the 78-year-old is seen taking questions from reporters while standing on the tarmac. That was when a reporter while trying to maneuver the microphone attached to a large pole, smashed the fuzzy mic cover into the president’s face.

The incident happened when the Republican leader was listening to questions from a different female reporter, as reported by the Irish Star.

Though Trump did not lash out immediately after getting hit in the face, the president gave a side eye to express his annoyance. He further raised his eyebrows at the reporter to show that he took note of the accident.

He, nevertheless, told the other female journalist, who was asking him questions about Gaza, "She made television tonight, she just became a big story tonight, right?"

Trump continued with disbelieving laughter, "Did you see that," while pressing his tongue against his cheek in distress.

Internet reacts to Donald Trump's expression on being hit in the face with a mic

The netizens were left stunned by the accident as many of them declared they couldn't wait for the memes to come. Some of the social media users, however, noted that Trump handled the situation quite calmly.

One wrote, "I'm sure it was an accident, he didn't look alarmed just annoyed," and another said, "The last thing you see before losing your job," referring to the reporter's point of view.

A person remarked, "That looked deliberate to me unless the person can prove they tripped. That is the kind of accident that should get you fired. It also shows how easily Trump can be assaulted. As a minimum, the Secret Service needs to have a full report on it."

"Has this ever once happened in the history of the United States? I'm surprised Secret Service didn't jump on her," said another exasperated Trump supporter. Someone else echoed, "Actually should be investigated. Could be poison on that mic. Sounds ridiculous but never know."

"He's not mad. He handled it like the champ he is. It was a funny accident, actually," one more commented, while another quipped, "Trump used quite a bit of restraint there."

Someone else noted, "Hilarious 😂😂😂😂. That look he gave is great GIF material 😂😂😂."

"Can't wait for the memes for this one," joked another netizen.

"You know he actually took it pretty well," one more noted, while another person wrote, "Oh man, wouldn't want to be her 🤭🤣🤣🤣."
