WASHINGTON, DC: Former Hawaii Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard discussed the reaction of President Joe Biden's administration to the death of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, during her appearance on the Monday, May 20 episode of 'Rob Schmitt Tonight' on Newsmax.

She also took on the International Criminal Court (ICC) for issuing an arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and accusing him of war crimes owing to Israel's actions in Gaza.

Tulsi Gabbard claims offering condolences for deceased Iranian President to be offensive

On the subject of state departments offering condolences upon receiving the news of the sudden demise of Raisi, whom host Schmitt accused of funding terrorism across the world, Gabbard stated, "It's a real offensive action when you look at the policies of Iran."

She added, "Frankly, how the Biden-Harris administration has continued to strengthen Iran's support for terrorism, support for terrorist Islamist groups like Hamas and Hezbollah, and how they continue to pose a direct threat."

TEHRAN, IRAN - MAY 20: People mourn the death of President Ebrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian in a helicopter crash the previous day, at Valiasr Square, on May 20, 2024 in Tehran, Iran. The crash, which also claimed the lives of Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and several other officials, occurred while Raisi was traveling for an official engagement in poor weather conditions. "It's mind-boggling to me to hear them do this, to see them do this, and also, frankly, to know that those who are likely in contention to fill those positions are people who hold those similar, very hardline, radical Islamist theocratic positions that we have seen, unfortunately, in the leadership of Iran for so long," asserted Gabbard.

Tulsi Gabbard's take on the International Criminal Court's warrant against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu

Gabbard accused the ICC of being "worse than irresponsible" for accusing the Israeli Prime Minister of war crimes in his fight against Hamas.

She agreed with Netanyahu in saying that ICC's action "will pour fuel on the flames of the radically increased level of antisemitism and antisemitic violence and threats that we have seen occur here in the United States and across the world, since the horrific terrorist attack against Israel on October 7."

Gabbard further expressed, "But I think it's important that we recognize the deeper problem here. When we see organizations such as place false equivalency on the Israeli government and the Islamist terrorist organization, Hamas."

"They claim to be doing so out of compassion and care for people, but it made me wonder - have they read Hamas' charter? Are they not aware that Hamas ... their goal is to exterminate all Jewish people (and) wipe Israel off the face of the Earth?" questioned the former congresswoman.

She concluded, "This is not a serious action by serious people who take this threat to all of freedom and civilization seriously."
