Gavin Newsom Signs Bruce Lee Day Law: California to Celebrate May 17 Annually

California Governor Gavin Newsom has officially signed Assembly Bill 2455, making martial arts icon and cinematic trailblazer Bruce Lee the first Chinese American in state history to be honored with an annual namesake day.
