Secretary of State Marco Rubio is warning that America made a “terrible mistake” after the Cold War by embracing the idea that it no longer mattered where things were made. Rubio said that the old globalization model promised lower consumer prices and higher corporate profits, but left the United States dangerously dependent on other countries for critical goods, basic components, and industrial capacity.
