WATCH- DOG ROBOTS With Elon Musk, Zuckerberg Faces STUN Students at Stanford

17 Apr 2026
Palo Alto and Stanford University became the backdrop for a viral art invasion this week as hyper-realistic robotic dogs sporting the faces of Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg were set loose on the public. The mechanical canines, which utilize the Unitree Go2 frame and eerily lifelike silicone masks, are part of digital artist Beeple’s (Mike Winkelmann) latest exhibition, "Infinite_Loop," opening at the Node digital art center in Palo Alto. The stunt, titled "Regular Animals," aims to comment on the pervasive influence and surveillance power of modern tech titans by turning them into autonomous, four-legged data collectors. The footage is now at the center of a widening controversy because of the sheer "uncanny valley" effect of the silicone faces. Witnesses reported seeing the "Musk-bot" trotting through the SoMa district and near the Stanford campus, engaging in lifelike behaviors such as squatting, waving at passersby, and following individuals using advanced computer vision. Nearby, cheeky "Lost Dog" posters featuring Mark Zuckerberg’s likeness added a layer of high-tech satire to the event, leading up to the sighting of the "Zuck-bot" itself. What makes this installation especially explosive is the interactive—and somewhat "disgusting"—nature of the robots' creative process. These aren't just remote-controlled toys; they are sophisticated machines that map their surroundings and "poop" out physical printed photos of the world as seen through the "eyes" of Musk or Zuckerberg. These images are then instantly preserved on the blockchain as NFTs. According to Beeple Studios, the project is meant to blur the lines between portraiture and machine agency, showing how these titans "reinterpret" our world through their proprietary algorithms. As the exhibition prepares for its full launch, this case is quickly becoming a flashpoint in the larger debate over the "gamification" of surveillance, the ethics of AI-driven art, and the legal standards for autonomous machines in public life. #ElonMusk #MarkZuckerberg #Beeple #RobotDog #StanfordUniversity #PaloAlto #BreakingNews #TechSatire #AIArt #NFTs #SiliconValley #UnitreeGo2 #Hyperflesh
