Amazon sued for workplace absence practices

A new class action lawsuit claims the company’s “punitive attendance policies” penalize disabled employees who request time off or accommodations. The case, filed by Cayla Lyster in New York, alleges Amazon’s automated system tracks attendance so strictly that employees risk termination even while waiting for medical requests to be approved.
