‘Doesn’t Fund TSA’: Sen. John Thune Pushes Back on Schumer’s Senate Move

John Thune is accusing Chuck Schumer of playing procedural games in the middle of the shutdown fight, saying Schumer’s latest Senate move does not actually fund TSA at all. The motion sought to suspend Senate Rule 25 so the Rules Committee could consider the pending motion tied to the House message on S. 1383 “to fund the TSA.” Thune said the move was so convoluted that it did not do “anything” Schumer claimed it would do.
