Former convict elected to city council in Maine shocks residents

“WTH is going on?” — that’s what many in Bangor, Maine, are asking after Angela Walker was elected to the city council. Over 20 years ago, Walker pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the death of a man in 2002. Now, she says her victory shows people can change, adding- “That’s my past. I don’t live there anymore. I’m a different person.”
