Members of the team behind the Oscar-nominated film The Voice of Hind Rajab wore pins on the red carpet at the Academy Awards calling for a “permanent ceasefire.” Speaking to reporters, the filmmakers said their message was meant to highlight what they described as interconnected global injustices, referencing conflicts in places such as the West Bank, Sudan, Iran, and Venezuela, as well as immigration enforcement by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
