Huge Fire Burning at Tehran's Oil Depot Following Israeli Strikes

A fire at an oil depot in western Tehran was still burning in the early hours of Sunday, March 8, following Israeli strikes on oil facilities in the Iranian capital, BBC Persian said. Footage here, that was circulating online in the early hours of March 8, shows a large fire and a thick cloud of black smoke at the Shahran Oil Depot in Tehran. BBC Persian also said that thick smoke had covered large parts of the sky in Tehran following the strikes. At least two other Iranian oil facilities around Tehran were hit on Saturday evening. The Israel Defense Forces took responsibility for the strikes, saying its air force had “struck several fuel storage depots” that were being used by the Iranian military forces “to operate military infrastructure.”
