Huge Fires Burn After Israel Strikes Tehran Oil Facilities
Large explosions and massive fires rocked at least three Iranian oil facilities around Tehran on Saturday evening, March 7, following strikes carried out by Israeli forces. These two videos show explosions and fires near the Tehran Oil Refinery in Shahr-e Ray, south of Tehran, and fires at the Aqdasiyeh oil depot in northeast Tehran. Further explosions were reported at an oil depot in Shahran in northwest Tehran but Storyful has not verified images of the site. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) took responsibility for the strikes, saying its air force had “struck several fuel storage depots” that were being used by the Iranian military forces “to operate military infrastructure.”
