Greta Thunberg Arrested for Supporting Palestine Action Credit: Prisoners For Palestine via Storyful Swedish activist Greta Thunberg was arrested in central London during a demonstration in support of Palestine Action hunger strikers on Tuesday, December 23.City of London Police said that a 22-year-old woman was arrested for displaying a placard in support of Palestine Action under terrorism charges.Footage released here by activist group Prisoners for Palestine shows police removing a sign from Thunberg that reads “I support Palestine Action prisoners” and “I oppose genocide.”Police said that earlier the same day red paint and hammers were used to damage an office building. Prisoners for Palestine said they targeted the offices of Aspen Insurance for providing services to an Israeli weapons firm.The BBC reported on Monday that four of the initial eight hunger striking detainees were continuing their protest. The group is calling for the ban on Palestine Action to be lifted.
