ICE Attorney Steps Down, Warns Training on Use of Force and Constitutional Law Is ‘Defective’

Former ICE attorney and academy instructor Ryan Schwank has gone public with explosive testimony about what he says is happening inside the agency’s training pipeline and why he walked away He says: The training program is “deficient, defective, and broken.” Schwank says instructors were told to prepare cadets to use tactics that push past constitutional limits including entering homes with ICE paperwork instead of a judge’s warrant and then told to keep quiet and “not contradict” official talking points.
