“ICE Must Leave Minnesota”: Klobuchar & Smith Draw Red Line on DHS Funding

Minnesota’s U.S. senators just told Washington: ICE has to get out of Minnesota. After multiple deadly shootings by federal agents in Minneapolis, Sens. Amy Klobuchar and Tina Smith say the state is in a “full-blown emergency” — and they’re ready to block DHS and ICE funding unless things change. On the Senate floor, Klobuchar and Smith blasted Operation Metro Surge, a Trump-era ICE and Border Patrol crackdown that’s flooded Minnesota with over 3,000 federal officers and led to at least three shootings, including the deaths of Renée Good and Alex Pretti in south Minneapolis.
