Ideology Clashes with Mamdani Led to Resignation - FDNY Commissioner Robert Tucker
Robert Tucker resigned as FDNY Commissioner just hours after Zohran Mamdani won the New York City mayoral race, saying their ideological differences made it the “right time” for him to step down. Tucker’s final day in office will be December 19, 2025, after which he plans to return to his private security firm, T&M USA.
