Jets Cornerback Kris Boyd Back in Hospital After NYC Shooting, Health Issues Force Return
New York Jets cornerback Kris Boyd returned to the hospital on Wednesday after his release from a November 16 gunshot wound in Midtown Manhattan. Strangers taunted Boyd and his group about clothes outside Sei Less restaurant before the shooter fired, lodging a bullet in his abdomen and pulmonary artery. He underwent treatment at Bellevue Hospital. Boyd posted on Instagram that health issues forced his readmission, he thanked supporters for their prayers. NYPD identified a suspect via CrimeStoppers tip and surveillance of white BMW escape, but made no arrests. The seventh year veteran missed the season on injured reserve.
