Trump administration moves funding from “Housing First” for a permanent solution for homelessness
The Trump administration is moving federal homelessness policy away from “Housing First” and toward temporary housing, mandatory treatment and self-sufficiency programs. HUD says the shift is designed to address the root causes of homelessness and improve accountability for taxpayer dollars.
