Trump administration paid $9.5 bn for resigning federal workers to improve govt efficiency

New Government Accountability Office report estimates that the Trump administration spent about $9.5 billion on paid administrative leave for federal workers last year. The GAO says the figures are estimates because the government does not precisely track the costs of leave connected to workforce reductions.
