Police Officer Walks Away After Being Hit by Car During Traffic Stop
A New York State trooper walked away with only minor injuries after being struck during a chain-reaction crash on the Thruway in Mamaroneck. State Police said two troopers had pulled over a Mercedes on the shoulder early on March 15 when a Chevy Suburban crashed into the back of their patrol car. The patrol car was pushed into the Mercedes, and the Mercedes then struck one of the troopers. The injured officer was transported to Westchester Medical Center and later released.
