Protesters Disrupt Kristi Noem's Press Conference in San Diego

Demonstrators gathered outside a facility in San Diego, California, as Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem was holding a press conference near the US-Mexico border. Footage captured by Arturo Gonzalez shows him and other protesters chanting “We are the people” and heckling Noem and officers from outside the building. As an officer with a dog on leash is seen exiting the building, protesters can be heard saying, “Don’t let her kill your dog,” referring to the time the secretary admitted in her 2024 memoir to shooting and killing her own puppy. The demonstrators and loud sirens could be heard throughout Noem’s press conference, live footage released by the DHS shows.
