Randy Quaid Calls Anne Hathaway “Not Sexy” and Demands Nicole Kidman Replace Her

Randy Quaid is attacking Anne Hathaway’s casting in the upcoming Days of Thunder sequel. Quaid, who played team owner Tim Daland in the 1990 original, called Hathaway a “leftist, woke, horrible choice” and argued that Tom Cruise should reunite onscreen with Nicole Kidman instead. He then made the criticism personal, claiming Hathaway “isn’t sexy” because she is pregnant. Hathaway is not confirmed to be replacing Kidman’s original character. She will play a new race-team owner and engineer alongside Cruise’s returning driver Cole Trickle. Kidman and Quaid have not been announced as members of the sequel’s cast. Neither Hathaway nor Cruise has publicly responded to Quaid’s comments.
