Rudy Guiliani sharply criticised Zohran Mamdani after his win in the New York mayoral election. He labelled Mamdani as a "communist" - right out of Karl Marx and accused him of supporting "extremist" views. He challenged Mamdani’s fit for office and pointed a “six-word” directive to Mamdani, “Step down and do something else”. The battle of the new mayor had already begun!
