Spain “Heard the President Loud and Clear” — Leavitt Says Madrid Now Cooperating with U.S. Military

After President Donald Trump publicly warned that Madrid had indicated the U.S. could not use certain Spanish bases in support of Operation Epic Fury, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt now says Spain has “agreed to cooperate” with the U.S. military. Her summary of what changed: “With respect to Spain, I think they heard the president's message yesterday loud and clear. And it's my understanding, over the past several hours, they've agreed to cooperate with the U.S. military... The president expects all of our European allies, of course, to cooperate in this long sought after mission.”
