Brave Ex-Marine and Family Show Would-Be Armed Robbers Who's Boss

A former Marine in a suburb of Washington, DC, fought off a group of teens that tried to rob him at gunpoint outside his home in broad daylight on June 3. Doorbell footage provided by Jheyco Borda Chura shows several people surrounding him near his pickup truck in Oxon Hill, Maryland, before a struggle breaks out. A gunshot can be heard during the incident. Borda told Storyful he was installing a dashcam in his vehicle when four teenagers allegedly demanded his car keys, phone, and belongings while one pointed a gun at him. “In a split-second decision, I held onto the gun,” Borda said. He added that the person holding the weapon pulled the trigger during the scuffle. Borda’s younger brother and father can be seen rushing over to help subdue the would-be robbers. Borda said nobody was injured.
