The New York City Council hosted its first-ever Pride Ball in the City Council chambers on Tuesday, June 2, transforming the chamber into a runway, officials said. Video released by Council Member Carl Wilson shows performers dancing and “strutting into Pride Month the right way.” The event was hosted by the Council’s LGBTQIA+ Caucus, Wilson said. “Congratulations to the Bronx for taking the crown, but I want to give a special shout-out to my Manhattan performers.
