“Unlawful blockade” Vs “Indiscriminate mining” — U.S. and Iran Clash at U.N. Over Strait of Hormuz Crisis The U.S. and Iran are now clashing at the United Nations over the Strait of Hormuz — and both sides are accusing the other of unlawful action. Iran says it is ready to ensure freedom of navigation, but argues that the crisis will not end until the war stops, the maritime blockade is lifted, and normal passage is restored. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said maritime traffic in the strait will return to normal only when the U.S.-Israeli war ends permanently and what Tehran calls the U.S. naval blockade and illegal sanctions are lifted. #StraitOfHormuz #Iran #UnitedNations #MikeWaltz #FreedomOfNavigation #USPolitics #TrumpAdministration #MiddleEast #InternationalLaw #IranCrisis #PoliticalDebate
