Iran War Tensions Explode As Trump Holds Back Netanyahu
Trump and Netanyahu may be standing on the same side — but the Iran crisis is now exposing serious tension behind closed doors.
According to reports, Netanyahu pushed Trump during a tense one-hour call to hit Iran again immediately. His warning was blunt: every delay gives Tehran more time.
The president signaled he is in “no hurry” and wants to wait for a deal before resuming strikes. It was a major moment of restraint from a leader who has also made clear that America still holds enormous leverage over Israel.
He praised Netanyahu as a wartime prime minister, said he is not treated fairly in Israel, and claimed he is “99%” popular there — even joking that he could run for prime minister himself.
But while Washington debates its next move, Iran appears to be preparing for escalation.
Tehran has reportedly created a new Persian Gulf Strait Authority, claiming control over transit in the Strait of Hormuz. Reports also say Iran is training civilians to use weapons in case of a possible US ground invasion.
