Strike Hits as Iranians March in Tehran for Al Quds Day

A strike hit in Tehran near a march for Al Quds Day in which regime figures were participating on Friday, March 13, news reports said. Footage here, circulating online, show people chanting, raising their fists in the air, and waving Iranian flags as a cloud of smoke from a strike is visible in the background. Other footage shows a man identified by Iranian media as Mohammad Mokhber, an aide to Iran’s late Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, at the Al Quds Day rally. Al Quds Day is an annual, international day to express support for Palestine and oppose the Israeli occupation of Palestinian territories, Al Jazeera said.
