Superman-Style Rescue: North Texas School Resource Officer and U.S. Army Veteran Pushes Broken-Down School Bus Full of Students Out of Traffic
A North Texas school resource officer has gone viral after performing an extraordinary feat of strength to move a school bus full of students that had broken down in the middle of the road. The incident was captured on dashcam by Dennis Joseph McIntire, who described the moment as “dumbfounding.” “I’m pretty sure I just saw Superman at Mambrino Elementary School!” McIntire said.McIntire was driving on December 16 when he came to a stop behind a truck and saw the stalled bus.“Before I could think, this strongman leaned into the front of the bus and began pushing it back. Who even THINKS they can move a loaded bus at all, much less 10–12 feet?!” McIntire said.McIntire said he reported the event to the Granbury Police Department, who referred him to the Hood County Sheriff’s Office. The officer has since been identified as Adrick Streiff, a US Army veteran.“I’d like to shake his hand and buy him a beer. We should all do that,” McIntire said.
