Trump Rips ‘Stiff’ Fed, Says Inflation Is Defeated and Teases New Health Care Plan

Donald Trump says he’s “feeling pretty good” as he boasts that under his administration growth is “exploding,” productivity is “soaring,” investment is “booming,” incomes are rising and “inflation is defeated.” He insists America is “respected again like never before” and jokes that this is the “easiest speech to make” because he just has to list what his team has done. Trump then unloads on the Federal Reserve, calling its leader “a real stiff” and accusing the Fed of “killing every rally” by hiking interest rates whenever strong numbers come out. In his view, when the market and the country are strong, rates should go down, not up.
