CHICAGO, ILLINOIS: Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers and cheesehead-wearing Wisconsinites completely botched his brief remarks pledging 94 delegates' votes for Democratic Presidential nominee Kamala Harris' nomination at the Democratic National Convention on Tuesday, August 20.

Former President Barack Obama, Michelle Obama, and Doug Emhoff delivered speeches on the 2nd day of the DNC, a day after the unofficial farewell for President Joe Biden, who served eight years as Obama’s vice president, according to Daily Mail.

Evers took the mic on the floor on Tuesday to ceremoniously cast all but one of Wisconsin's delegate votes for Harris. The roll call is a time for each state and territory to be in the spotlight and highlight their accomplishments.

Appearing to lose his spot in the brief remarks, Evers said, "I'm here because I'm jazzed as hell to announce that Wisconsin cast one vote present and 94 vote for, for... where are we? Got me going here."

He continued, as he botched the roll call, "Former Wisconsinite, former sate – oh my God." Wisconsin's Democratic Party Chair Ben Wikler kept Evers' spirits high and encouraged him to keep going and said, "We love you, Tony!"

He finally concluded, "94 votes for former Wisconsinite, Vice President and our next President of the United States of America, Kamala Harris."

Tony Evers believes enthusiasm for Harris will help Wisconsin Dems

Evers said enthusiasm for Kamala Harris will help Democrats in November but winning the Assembly will need more than excitement at the top of the ticket, according to Wis Poltics.

He said, "There’s no question, the people are fired up…They’re fired up like I’ve never seen before. So it’s all about making sure that they take that energy back home, knock on doors, do all this stuff that is really hard work, and we’ll see."

He added, "I honestly believe that we’re going to have more help with younger people than we ever had before, and that’s a really important thing for us."

He also mentioned, "I think it’s a two-way street. It’s not just that she will help them because she’s got great popularity, and she’s a great candidate. But you know, we have the most number of Democrats running ever in our state’s history. They will help her too. It’s going to be a two-way street."
