'We don’t sleep in the same room': Stormy Daniels testifies about 'brief' conversation with Donald Trump about 'beautiful wife' Melania

MANHATTAN, NEW YORK: In a recent development in the hush money trial of former President Donald Trump, adult film actress Stormy Daniels took the stand on the 13th day.

Daniels testified about her encounter she had with Trump in 2006 which she claims led to her being paid off to remain silent during the presidential election a decade later.

She detailed how she was introduced to Trump and even the conversation involving former first lady Melania Trump.

Stormy Daniels' brief encounter had a lasting impression on Donald Trump

Daniels detailed her first meeting with Trump at a celebrity golf tournament in Lake Tahoe when she was 27 and Trump was 60.

She described it as a “very brief encounter.” Later, at a gift shop, Trump recognized her.

“He remembered me specifically… that I was the smart one,” Daniels recalled him saying.

Daniels’ boss from 'Wicked' introduced her to Trump as one of his contract workers and revealed that she was also a director.

Trump responded, “You direct, too, you must be the smart one,” according to Daniels.

She knew little about Trump at the time, other than that he was a golfer and had a reality show called 'Celebrity Apprentice' that she had never seen.

"He was as old or older than my father," Daniels said. She added her father was 60, CNN, reported from the courtroom. 

Stormy Daniels had no expectations from Donald Trump 

Daniels also testified about a dinner with Trump which her publicist had encouraged. "What could possibly go wrong," Daniels recounted her publicist telling her.

She said that her expectation was just to have dinner with Donald Trump. "That was my only expectation," she testified. 

When she arrived at Trump’s hotel suite, she found him wearing silk or satin pajamas.

She teased him, asking, “Does Hugh Hefner know you stole his pajamas?” She then told him to change and he did so “very politely.”

During their conversation, Trump asked her about her personal life and work as an adult star. He showed her several pictures and magazine covers in his penthouse hotel suite.

Trump asked her to recognize his wife, Melania, whom Trump described to her as “very beautiful.” Trump told Daniels, “We don’t sleep in the same room," NBC News reported.

 Stormy Daniels taking witness stand on Tuesday, May 7, has the internet buzzing with Trump loyalists slamming her and those in support rejoicing at her testimony against Trump.

"Shoutout to Stormy Daniels for making “adult film star” a more respected job title than “former president of the United States,” an X user commented. 

"Once a cheater, always a cheater. Trump's fidelity seems as fleeting as his grasp on reality. Loyalty? It's a foreign concept to him," wrote another.

"They probably still don’t sleep in the same room," wrote one more. Another wrote, "Today's testimony must be burning Donald on the inside like no other thus far. Couldn't happen to a more deserving fellow. How he'll keep himself from violating the gag order, I don't know."

"That’s devastating," added one more. "Honestly, can you blame Melania?" asked an X user.

"She’s being used. At this point they could say Trump was the second gunman on the grassy knoll & he has stolen all the gold in Ft Knox.. I still wouldn’t care I believe nothing from these clowns," the user added in the X post.
