What did Donald and Melania Trump wear to Pope Francis' funeral?

President Donald Trump did not wear a traditional black suit while attending the funeral service on Saturday. Instead, he opted to wear a blue suit and paired it with a tie of the same color.

However, the FLOTUS was decked in a black coat dress alongside a traditional black lace veil and black gloves. As the second Roman Catholic first lady after Jacqueline Kennedy, Melania appeared emotional at the event.

The couple presented a united front at the event, with Melania maintaining a solemn expression and remaining by her husband's side throughout the day till they got back on Air Force One after the service. She even reportedly helped him avoid making his interaction with world leaders awkward during the three-hour Catholic mass.

According to the Irish Star, men were asked to wear a dark suit with a long black tie and a button of the same color on the left lapel of the jacket for the somber occasion. Not only did Trump break the dress code with his blue suit and tie, but he was also spotted wearing a pin of the American flag during the funeral.

Trump sparked criticism for opting out of the customary black attire, a move that many found rather "disrespectful". And after White House released images from the funeral, things only got worse.
