LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Wolfgang Van Halen said that it was 'more stressful' preparing for this year's Oscars than his October 2023 nuptial.

The American musician who was present alongside his wife Andraia Allsop on the red carpet on Sunday, March 10, spoke to People where he joked about how they were left more fatigued while getting ready to attend Hollywood's biggest night than their wedding.

What did Wolfgang Van Halen's wife Andraia Allsop say?

"It actually felt like we were getting ready for our wedding today," Allsop said of the lead-up to the awards ceremony. Van Halen laughingly agreed with his wife, adding, "I think it was more stressful getting ready today."

Van Halen, who also performed with the heavy metal band Tremonti from 2012 to 2016, played guitar on 'Barbie's 'I'm Just Ken' hit, which was nominated for Best Original Song.

Wolfgang Van Halen on life after getting married

Van Halen, son of actress Valerie Bertinelli and guitarist Eddie Van Halen, said that not much has changed since the couple tied the knot at their Los Angeles home last fall in the presence of 90 loved ones.

"It's the same, and I think that's good. Because it shouldn't be any different if you find the right person, right?" the 34-year-old said.

Wolfgang Valen Halen's mother Valerie Bertinelli was also present at the Oscars

The couple was also joined by Bertinelli, 63, on the red carpet who took a moment to express her pride and excitement about her son's Oscars moment.

"I'm excited! I'm here to support Wolfie, the Barbie movie, because Wolfie's all throughout it. He did a lot of work with [soundtrack producer] Mark [Ronson] for two days, and I'm really proud of him so I want to support him," she gushed. "And the movie was kickass, so we're just going to say that."

Bertinelli said she gets a little thrill every time she watches the Greta Gerwig-led film. "It's so fun because I watch the movie and I hear Wolfie all throughout the chase scene, I hear Wolfie all throughout the Ken fight scene, and it's just like, 'That's my boy!'"

The Mammoth WVH frontman described attending the Oscars as "a magical night." "I'm happy to be here, very happy to be part of this and support my buddy Mark," he added. Even though "I'm Just Ken" failed to grab Oscar, another Barbie song however did, Billie Eilish and Finneas' 'What Was I Made For?'"

They opted to tie the knot at home, their ceremony took place in their living room, followed by a backyard reception, so they could "have privacy and just have our moment together with everyone," Allsop added.

Van Halen said their wedding was "kind of just a formality," since they already felt like they were married after having been together for eight years. "We are so already married that it's like, well, yeah, might as well make it official, because we already are," he explained.
