WASHINGTON, DC: The White House will reportedly step up its engagement with US lawmakers trying to strike a bipartisan deal that would provide military aid for Ukraine and Israel soon, as per a report by Reuters

As the news broke out, Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene took to X, formerly known as Twitter, and said that people serving in the federal government who put "foreign country’s borders and foreign wars BEFORE securing America’s border” should be considered “traitors".

The users on social media blasted Greene as her remarks didn’t end there and she continued to speak on the issue in a vicious rant against the government.

Marjorie Taylor Greene takes a dig at federal government

On X, Marjorie Taylor Greene wrote, “Every single person serving in the federal government that puts foreign country’s borders and foreign wars BEFORE securing America’s border and protecting our own national security should be considered a traitor. Enabling the daily U.S. border invasion is treason.”

In another tweet, she wrote, “The American people are the hardest working and most generous people in the world. The United States Federal Government does not respect the American people and mistreats them horribly."

She added, “The government serves the entire world first and does not serve the American people at all!”

Lastly, Greene posted on X, “America is nearly $34 TRILLION in debt because of the stupidity and horrific irresponsibility of America’s leaders. Our border is under siege, invasion, and under control of the Mexican cartels.”

“We can NOT fund the Ukraine war, a U.S. proxy war with Russia. America FIRST!!!” concluded Greene.

Internet reacts to Marjorie Taylor Greene slamming federal government

One user wrote, “REPUBLICANS do not respect the American people and mistreats them horribly. Fixed it for ya. Liar! PLUS...MTG does not respect the American people and thinks we're all stupid. In reality, want to see the winner of the stupid contest? Look in any mirror.”

Another wrote, “You know nothing about people in other parts of the world!”

“Ahh. Are you not a member of that same Government?  I am sure you are because almost daily you show that you are not working for the American people.” wrote one user.

Another said, “Fact Checking...CONCLUSION: Marjorie Taylor Greene appears to be a crybaby. Fact Check Completed.”

Greene continued to face backlash on X as one user wrote, “You clearly hate it here. You really should leave.”

Another user asked, “How about you take after the people you serve and actually do some work yourself?🤦‍♀️”
