Young hospital patients honor Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce with one-of-a-kind wedding gown

Savvy Bridal donated the dress, which the children transformed with drawings, personal messages and lyrics from Swift's 2024 album 'The Tortured Poets Department'

KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI: Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s historic romance has captivated millions worldwide, inspiring heartfelt tributes across global pop culture. Beyond the glamour of stadium tours and championship games, their relationship has kindled creative joy in unexpected places, including pediatric hospital rooms.

Recently, young patients at Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City came together to celebrate the superstar couple's wedding in a remarkably artistic way. Some patients also wrote the titles of Swift's songs on the gown, including "Who's Afraid of Little Old Me!" from her 2024 album 'The Tortured Poets Department'.

Taylor Swift receives heartfelt wedding gift designed by Children's Mercy patients

The Children’s Mercy Kansas City shared a series of photos on Instagram on July 20, showing patients creating a special wedding gift for the 'lover' singer. The one-of-a-kind wedding dress, donated by Savvy Bridal, was decorated with colorful drawings, handwritten messages, and creative designs created by the children.

“We’ve long admired Children’s Mercy and had been looking for a meaningful way to give back to our community,” a spokesperson for Savvy Bridal tells PEOPLE. “When the excitement surrounding Taylor Swift’s wedding aligned with her ongoing generosity toward the hospital, it felt like the perfect opportunity to bring those two things together.”

Swift previously visited Children’s Mercy Hospital in December 2024, where she spent time with patients and their families. Just days before her wedding, she and her husband Travis Kelce also donated to the hospital.

“We donated one of our wedding dresses and invited the children to transform it into a one-of-a-kind wedding gift for Taylor. They filled the gown with heartfelt messages, drawings, signatures and well wishes while making friendship bracelets, wearing tiaras and celebrating someone they deeply admire,” the spokesperson continues.

“For our team, the greatest gift was spending time with these incredible children and watching their creativity and joy come to life. The dress will now be carefully packaged and shipped to Taylor, and we hope that when she sees it, she feels love and gratitude stitched into every message.”

Children’s Mercy also shared how meaningful the activity was for its young patients. “Watching our patients light up when they saw the beautiful wedding dress was such a special moment,” they say in a statement. “They were amazing that they could leave their own colorful drawings and heartfelt messages on it.”

“For many of our patients, hospital stays can be difficult and isolating, so having the opportunity to focus on a joyful connection with Taylor made it a truly meaningful experience for everyone involved.”

Swift and Kelce got married on July 3, in a private yet star-studded ceremony at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The venue was transformed with beautiful peach and white flowers, creating a romantic setting for the couple's big day.

Swift wore a custom Christian Dior Haute Couture gown designed by Jonathan Anderson, paired with Christian Louboutin shoes and Cartier jewelry. Travis matched her in a white Christian Dior tuxedo, also designed by Anderson.

Instead of having a traditional bridal party, Taylor's brother Austin Swift was her Man of Honor, while Travis' brother Jason Kelce served as Best Man. Family friend Adam Sandler officiated the ceremony.

Rather than asking for wedding gifts, the couple requested donations to charities, including Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City and the Food Bank for New York City, making their special day even more meaningful.
