NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Fox Business anchor Charles Payne joined co-host Steve Doocy to talk about the economic failure of the Biden administration on the January 18 episode of 'Fox & Friends.'

The segment began with Doocy playing a video that showed President Biden at a meeting with the Press Corps, where he seemed surprised to hear that a smoothie cost $8.

When the White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was later questioned about it, she stated that the President was "joking around" and having a good time.

Charles Payne blames Joe Biden's policies for inflation

Payne stated that the real issue was not the fact that the President was surprised at the price of a glass of smoothie, but "the indifference, because his policies have played such an impactful role in this inflation crisis."

"When we have a politician who says, 'I am going to do this for the people,' like the $2 trillion COVID aid that we didn't need at the time when American households had their balance sheets the best that they had ever been, businesses' balance sheets the best they've ever been - that money is ultimately designed to trickle it's way up into the pockets of the top 1 percent," he continued.

"And along the way we, the American people, pay the price for that. In this case, it was record high inflation… By the way, prices have not come down."

The 'Making Money' host stated that even though the rate of inflation has slowed, it has continued for so long that "for 26 months in a row…paychecks could not keep up with inflation."

Charles Payne calls out Biden admin over their agenda of 'control'

During the discussion, Doocy mentioned that former NIH Director Francis Collins reportedly stated that he had not really considered the extreme consequences of lockdowns during the pandemic.

"Again, I think it's indifference," exclaimed Payne. "These folks have an agenda. And then they wrap the veneer of economics around it, the veneer of science around it, but…their agenda has nothing to do with economics, nothing to do with science, and everything to do with control."

"Of course someone warned them. Of course, people knew there would be consequences… You don't lock down people, particularly children, and don't think there would be consequences. Their agenda comes first and foremost before everything else," he added.
