Zach Bryan blasts TPUSA’s All‑American halftime show, calls it 'embarrassing as hell'
SANTA CLARA, CALIFORNIA: Country music artist Zach Bryan sparked controversy this week after publicly criticizing the Turning Point USA All-American Halftime Show, an alternative event held in parallel with the Super Bowl LX halftime broadcasts.
Bryan, 29, took to Instagram on Monday, Feb 9, to post and later delete a pair of comments dismissing the rival performance as ‘embarrassing’ and remarks that have drawn both support and backlash from fans across social media.
The All-American Halftime Show, headlined by Kid Rock alongside country artists Lee Brice, Brantley Gilbert and Gabby Barrett, was pitched as a patriotic, family-friendly alternative to the NFL’s official halftime show featuring Bad Bunny.
Zach Bryan’s social media comments criticize TPUSA
“I don’t care what side you’re on,” the 29-year-old singer wrote, according to the Daily Mail.
“A bunch of adults throwing temper tantrums and their own halftime show is embarrassing as hell and the most cringe shit on the planet.”
Zach Bryan addressed the TPUSA halftime show in a since-deleted Instagram Story, calling it “embarrassing as hell” and “the most cringe sh*t on the planet.”

The comment came after an angry DM accused Zach Bryan of being a Hollywood sellout in response to his Instagram Story… pic.twitter.com/EvSxS5eeeG
In another Instagram post, Bryan posted an image of a person putting their hand up over a TV showing the Bad Bunny Halftime show while holding a phone with Kid Rock’s TPUSA performance in the other hand.
Bryan wrote, “What Kid Rock actually thinks is happening across America” on the post.
Bryan soon deleted the message, reports say.
Bryan then attacked the people in his comments, calling them “douchebags.”
“Bro the irony in how upset a bunch of middle aged douchebags are in my DM’s this morning hahahahah,” he wrote.
Bryan was added to a Super Bowl concert held at the Chase Center in San Francisco on Sunday when the event’s first choice, singer Luke Combs, had to cancel because he is expecting a child any day.
Zach Bryan is a Trump fan turned left
Not long ago, the ‘With Heaven’ singer seemed pretty taken with Trump.
He posed for photos with him during the 2025 Super Bowl and even spoke up in Trump’s favor in 2024 after that assassination attempt, when a bullet just nicked the President’s ear.
But now, he’s making a sharp turn left.
In October, Bryan teased the release of an anti-ICE song that he eventually released in January.
He also earned backlash after attacking police officers during an arrest in 2023, though he later backtracked and said he was wrong.
The All-American Halftime Show was launched as an alternative to Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl act.
The organizers wanted to spotlight faith, family, and freedom, and they even included a tribute to TPUSA founder Charlie Kirk, who died in 2025.
Erika Kirk jumped on social media to cheer the event and its message.
