Zack Snyder pays tribute to daughter Autumn with Henry Cavill photo 9 years after her death
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Director Zack Snyder has shared a heartfelt tribute to his late daughter Autumn, nine years after her death. The filmmaker posted a photograph of Autumn standing beside Henry Cavill, who was dressed in his Superman costume.
The 'Man of Steel' director accompanied the picture with an emotional message about a father's love and the lasting pain of losing a child. “A father's love for his daughter never ends, even when her time here does,” Snyder wrote.

In his tribute on X (formerly Twitter), Snyder spoke about the heartbreak his family continues to carry.
“There are no words to describe the heartbreak of losing a child or the emptiness that lasts a lifetime. The years may pass, but the love, the memories, and the longing to have her here with us never fade,” he wrote.

Snyder also urged his followers to support the family's upcoming charity walk in Autumn's memory, explaining how the donations would help fund research and provide support to grieving families.
"If you are able, please consider making a donation to support us as we walk to honor Autumn this Saturday. These donations, no matter how small, help fund life-saving research and support for families who know the unimaginable heartbreak of losing someone they love," he added.
"Autumn will always be my daughter, our heroic archer. She will always be loved and always be a part of everything I do," he concluded.

The Snyder family is participating in the walk under the name Team Ironwill to honor Autumn and help raise awareness and support for those affected by similar losses.
Autumn's presence has also been felt in Snyder's films. His 2021 director's cut of 'Justice League' carried a dedication to her, while its closing credits featured Leonard Cohen's 'Hallelujah', a song she loved.
The family also shared a message about Autumn's loss and the reason they continue to participate in the charity walk.

"In 2017, our lives were forever changed when we lost our beloved daughter and sister, Autumn. Although years have passed, Autumn's absence is something we feel and carry daily."
They further explained how the initiative was intended to help other families dealing with similar heartbreak.
"We walk not only to honor her life and the love she left behind, but also in hopes to helping other families avoid the heartbreak and pain of losing a loved one."
The family also highlighted the importance of raising awareness about mental health and encouraging people who may be struggling to seek support.
"Through these walks, we hope to raise awareness and help end the stigma surrounding mental health. We walk for Autumn. We walk for us. We walk for anyone silently struggling. You are not alone. You are never alone."
Through his latest tribute, Snyder once again shared how deeply his daughter remains a part of his life, even nine years after her death.
