Zendaya makes heartfelt confession about working with beau Tom Holland: ‘It feels like coming home’

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Zendaya shared a rare glimpse into her relationship with Tom Holland while talking about filming 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' together. The actress described working with Holland as a "family affair" and sweetly called him her "best friend."

"I get to go to work every day with my best friend, the person that I love," Zendaya said. The actress is currently juggling multiple high-profile projects, including 'The Odyssey’ and the growing anticipation around 'Euphoria' Season 3. Despite the packed schedule, she spoke warmly about working alongside Holland.

She also reflected on watching him film for 'The Odyssey,' calling the moment emotional and expressing pride in his performance.

Zendaya gushes over ‘best friend’ Tom Holland

Zendaya opened up about working closely with Holland on major upcoming projects, while keeping her personal life private amid marriage speculation. When asked about ongoing wedding rumors, the actress declined to confirm anything. "No, I’m not going to do that," she told Elle writer Alexis Okeowo.

She first spoke about their work on 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day', calling the experience deeply personal. “And then 'Spider-Man' was a dream. I get to go to work every day with my best friend, the person that I love. We bring our dogs to work; it’s like a family affair. We grew up on those movies! It’s like coming home."

She also reflected on their time working on ‘The Odyssey,’ where they did not share scenes. Zendaya said she watched Holland work from the sidelines and admitted, "I could have cried, I was so proud."

Zendaya reflects on comfort and chemistry with Tom Holland

Zendaya and Holland have this fan-favorite dynamic that just works. Their on-screen chemistry has always been a big deal, but Zendaya has also been super candid in past interviews about how safe and comfortable she feels around Holland. 

In a chat with Variety, she said, "Holland ‘is my person because I don’t feel nervous around them.'" She doubled down on that vibe in an interview with The New York Times, saying he brings her calm in a chaotic world.

“I feel really peaceful, and I feel really calm like, oh, I actually feel more nervous when I’m away from you than when I’m with you. We first met in an audition, so I was pretty nervous anyway, but he did make me feel calm just by being a nice person, you know, by making me feel comfortable."

"Having to do a chemistry read for a big movie like that, it’s like, you really want the job and all these kind of things. And yeah, he was really lovely then."
