Zohran Mamdani says he's ‘fine’ after not receiving invite to Taylor Swift-Travis Kelce wedding
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Weeks after Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's headline-making wedding, Mayor Zohran Mamdani is weighing in on one unexpected detail - being left off the guest list.
The young politician isn't holding a grudge, though. In fact, Mamdani brushed off the perceived snub with a sarcastic one-word response, making it clear he has no complaints about missing the couple's big day.
Before the wedding, Mamdani had publicly confirmed that Swift and Kelce had followed the necessary procedures to host their lavish celebration at Madison Square Garden, including securing the venue and covering the required costs to ensure the event went off without a hitch.
Swift and Kelce exchanged vows on Friday, July 3, kicking off the Fourth of July weekend, which marked the 250th anniversary celebrations.

Although nearly 1,000 guests attended the star-studded ceremony at Madison Square Garden, one notable New Yorker wasn't among them. Despite serving as New York City's mayor, Mamdani never received an invitation to the highly exclusive event.
Still, he insists it wasn't a big deal. During an interview with Rolling Stone, the Democrat said he was "fine" with not being invited. Rather than focusing on the guest list, he praised the city's handling of the massive event, saying municipal services "acquitted themselves very well."
Even without attending the wedding, Mamdani was familiar with the planning behind it.
Addressing a press conference previously, Mamdani shared, "Taylor Swift has already paid the cost of the permit that was lodged, which was over $160,000 for that event and for the response to that event." He added, "That was a permit that was finalized, I think, just in the days before the event itself." He called it a "number of what are both historical and generational events."
He added that the permit was finalized just days before the wedding, confirming that the costs for the event had already been covered.

Swift's longtime best friend Selena Gomez was among the notable guests, along with supermodel Gigi Hadid, who has been part of the singer's inner circle for years. Well, speaking about her inner circle. Blake Lively and her husband Ryan Reynold didn't make it to the list.
The exclusive guest list featured a mix of Hollywood stars, including Bradley Cooper, Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks, Hugh Grant, and Ethan Hawke, who joined Swift and Kelce for their special day. The celebration also had Ed Sheeran, Camila Cabello, and others from the entertainment world, and NFL stars were also present at the wedding.
