Obama Places 7th in 2024 Presidential Greatness Project, Trump and Biden Positions Unveiled
WASHINGTON, DC: In the latest evaluation of US presidents conducted by a group of self-proclaimed experts, Abraham Lincoln emerged as the nation's most esteemed leader, while Donald Trump found himself at the bottom of the list. The verdict marks Lincoln's third consecutive triumph in the Presidential Greatness Project's expert survey, reaffirming his status as America's preeminent president following his previous top position in 2015 and 2018.
The survey, orchestrated by the Presidential Greatness Project, boasts a panel of 154 respondents described as a mix of current and recent members of the Presidents & Executive Politics Section of the American Political Science Association, along with scholars renowned for their peer-reviewed research in related academic domains. Each respondent was tasked with appraising presidents on a scale from 0 to 100, delineating the spectrum from failure to greatness, with 50 representing an average performance.
Joining Lincoln in the upper echelons of presidential prowess were Franklin Delano Roosevelt, George Washington, Theodore Roosevelt, and Thomas Jefferson, securing spots two through five, respectively. Conversely, Trump's ranking languished at the bottom, trailing behind predecessors such as James Buchanan, Andrew Johnson, Franklin Pierce, and William Henry Harrison. Following are some of the most well-known US presidents in the order of their so-called 'Presidential Greatness' ranking:
