A House Oversight Committee meeting turned chaotic after the congressional members deviated from the real purpose and spewed personal attacks on each other on Thursday, May 16 night. The meeting which was conducted to discuss the further proceedings to hold Attorney General Merrick Garland in contempt of Congress, disrupted into a war of words started by GOP Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene and Democrat Rep Jasmine Crockett. However, this was not the only wild moment the House Committee witnessed that quashed the congressional decorum for nearly an hour. Here are five insane moments that took place during the fiery congressional meeting.

1. Jasmine Crockett's 'fake eyelashes' vs Marjorie Taylor Greene's 'bleached blonde'

Georgia Republican Greene set fire to the spat by insulting Crockett. The Democrat questioned Greene on the relevance of her asking about committee members working for the judge overseeing Donald Trump's hush money trial. The Georgia lawmaker retorted, saying Crockett's "fake eyelashes" prevented her from reading properly. Another Democrat, Rep Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, jumped in as the brawl started, criticizing Greene for violating the etiquette. In response to Greene's insult, Crockett said the GOP legislator had a  "bleached blonde, bad-built, butch body."

2. Rep Jared Moskowitz's 'spirited' reading of Rep James Comer's fundraising email

Rep Jared Moskowitz of the Democratic Party added more drama to the day by conducting a "spirited" reading of Oversight Committee Chair Rep James Comer's fundraising email. In the email, the GOP member argued he was under an "onslaught" of attacks from the opposition party and blasted President Biden for using his executive privilege to stop the release of his taped interviews with Robert Hur. "I would like to do a spirited reading of the campaign email sent out by the chairman, and it's on lovely stationery. In fact, it says from the desk of the oversight chairman. I'm not sure you can do that, but I'm not an ethics expert," Moskovitz said at the meeting. However, Comer gladly agreed when the email was entered into the record.

3. Blown up 'sleeping' Donald Trump

The congressional meeting also witnessed a giant 'sleeping' Donald Trump amid the chaos. Rep Robert Garcia brought an enlarged photo of the former president sleeping in the court during his hush money trial. Several media outlets claimed Trump had often fallen asleep during the court proceedings of the case where he faces 34 counts for falsifying business records to pay hush money to an adult film actress. The Democratic lawmaker discussed the reports while an enlarged image of Trump was held behind him.

4. Marjorie Taylor Greene asserts she 'looks pretty good'

Greene took a moment to declare her confidence in her physical features following attacks from Crockett. GOP Rep Anna Paulina Luna verbally fought with Rep Dan Goldman, who worked with Trump trial Judge Juan Merchan's daughter. As she demanded to strike out Luna's words where she accused Goldman's association with the judge's daughter, she defended by saying the Democrats attacked Greeen's "body." However, the Georgia lawmaker said, "I think my body's pretty good. I'm going to be 50 this month."

Rep Lauren Boebert apologized to American voters for the meeting's unexpected turn of events. "I don't think this is the best use of our time when we are squabbling. It's one thing to have fun and laugh as members of Congress and try to find humor or some sort of light-heartedness in what we are doing," the Republican congresswoman said. She pointed at the heated exchange and labeled it an "an embarrassment on our body as a whole." Boebert added, "I just want to personally apologize to the American people for that."
