MANHATTAN, NEW YORK CITY: Wanda Sykes isn't a Trump supporter, but she's found humor in a specific aspect of his trial: the rumored courtroom farting.

During her appearance on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live', Sykes quipped, "I am enjoying the Trump trial, I really am. I know they say he’s passing gas and everything, so I like that I’m watching it from home. I don’t think I want to be in that room."

Sykes made an appearance on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' to discuss the newest season of her Netflix comedy, 'The Upshaws' - a show which also features Kim Fields and Mike Epps and centers on a working-class Black family in Indiana striving to improve their lives.

Sykes and Kimmel banter about Trump's court behavior

The gassy rumors were sparked by attorney Ben Meiselas, who claimed to have heard from "credible sources" about Trump passing gas in court, causing discomfort for his attorneys due to the smell.

However, as farting is a natural bodily function, it's challenging to confirm if the odor indeed originated from Trump.

These claims, along with reports of Trump falling asleep in court from Maggie Haberman, have added an amusing twist to the trial.

Sykes humorously noted, "The thing is, he’s old. So that’s what happens when you’re old. You fall asleep, and you toot a little bit. I mean, I do it."

Kimmel chimed in, acknowledging that typically it's not polite to poke fun at an older individual for exhibiting behaviors associated with aging.

However, he pointed out the irony of Trump and the Republican party's scrutiny of Joe Biden's age, which makes light-hearted jests about Trump's flatulence fair game.

"You know if Joe Biden did something like that, he’d have a blimp with ‘Joe Biden Farted’ on it flying over the courtroom," Kimmel joked.

Sykes amusingly expressed her exasperation with having Trump supporters in her audience. "You know, you can’t make fun of [Donald Trump]. The Trump people get really upset," Sykes quipped.

She added, "Some of them be coming to my show, and, again, I’m like, ‘Why are y’all here? Don’t you know me by now?’"
